Why We Redesigned Trendier: From Reports to Workflows
Hello, I’m Kei Chun, co-founder and CEO of Trendier.
Over the past few months, our team has been working on the biggest update to Trendier since we launched. We’ve redesigned how people use Trendier, from the Trendier Library to the way they work with AI.
Here is what has changed, and why we made these changes.
From discovering market opportunities to acting on them
Trendier has long helped beauty teams see what is changing in the market through data and reports. But their work does not end when they find an opportunity. They still need to turn it into a product proposal, product page, buyer pitch, or campaign brief.
AI is changing how quickly teams can move from research to action. We redesigned Trendier so that market evidence can carry through from discovery and analysis to the work that follows.
1. A better way to spot market shifts
For many customers, the Trendier Library is where market research begins. We’ve expanded it with deeper analysis and more timely market signals.
- Forecast 2027 marks the start of a Premium report series that examines key markets and topics in greater depth.
- Signal+ lets you validate trends emerging in external media against market data and add signals you want to investigate.
- Shorts makes important market changes easier to catch in a quick format.
The Trendier Library is becoming a place to discover what is beginning to move in the market—and decide what deserves a closer look.

2. Choose the AI that fits the work
If you use AI regularly, you’ve probably noticed that models approach the same task differently. Business work calls for different strengths, too: analytical rigor when assessing a market, creativity when planning a product or campaign, and clear judgment when shaping a strategy. Communicating with customers also takes empathy—and sometimes a sense of humor.
In Trendier AI, you can choose from Gemini, GPT, and Claude models according to the task.
I tested them across product planning, campaign development, and strategy work. Even when I asked questions using the same Trendier data, the models brought different perspectives and levels of depth. The best fit changed with the job.
- Gemini 3.8 Flash was fast and reliable for market exploration while using relatively few credits.
- GPT 5.6 Terra was particularly good at developing product and campaign ideas from different angles, along with ways to put them into practice.
- GPT 6.1 Sol was useful for weighing multiple conditions and pressure-testing a conclusion.
- Claude Sonnet 5 stood out when turning complex information into a coherent strategy or document.

As AI becomes part of everyday work, the question is not just whether to use it. It is which model helps you do a particular job well. Try them side by side and see which one makes Trendier’s market data most useful for your work.
3. Turn market evidence into real deliverables
Market analysis is a starting point, not the finished work. Teams need to carry it into product proposals, buyer pitches, product detail pages (PDPs), and TikTok videos.
Alongside general-purpose AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini, there are now tools built specifically for slides, images, and video. A team can produce dozens—even hundreds—of ad variations and short-form videos in a day.
But volume alone does not drive results. Before making those assets, you need to understand the customer’s problem and decide which ingredients, benefits, and message to lead with. Those choices need to be grounded in the market. Without a clear direction, faster production may simply mean more polished AI slop that means little to customers.
Here is how Trendier fits into that process:
Spot a market signal in the Trendier Library
→ Use Trendier AI to analyze competing products, prices, ingredients, and consumer response
→ Bring the analysis into the AI tools your team uses
→ Create deliverables grounded in market evidence

For now, you can copy an analysis from Trendier AI into the AI tool you normally use and ask it to create what you need. One analysis can inform a product planning deck, PDP, buyer pitch, or campaign brief.
AI will keep getting faster at making things. What matters increasingly is the evidence behind what you make. Trendier’s role is to help establish that direction before production begins.
4. Soon, use Trendier data in the AI tools you already use

Today, moving an analysis from Trendier AI into another AI tool still requires copying it over. We’re preparing MCP connections that will let you access Trendier market data directly from supported tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini.
If your team already connects internal files—such as Google Drive documents, past proposals, or slides—to its AI tools, you’ll be able to use that company context alongside Trendier’s market data.
We’re also working on related capabilities:
- MCP will connect supported AI tools to external data sources such as Trendier.
- AI agents will carry out recurring market research based on criteria and schedules your team sets.
- Plugins will help teams repeat common tasks, such as product planning or buyer pitch development, within their AI tools.
These capabilities will roll out in stages, beginning with selected customers. We’ll share practical examples and instructions as each becomes available.
5. More flexible ways to use Trendier
We’ve also changed how Trendier subscriptions work. Credits can be used across supported Trendier Library reports, AI analysis and research, and Premium reports, so teams can use them where their work calls for them.
As noted in our previous update, existing paid Starter and Pro subscribers will receive a one-time bonus equal to 50% of the credits included in their current plan, in addition to their existing credits.
6. From individual AI skills to team know-how
A few people using AI well is not the same as an entire team getting better at its work.
Without shared standards, useful methods can stay with individuals: which data to use, how to frame a question, and how to judge the result. When someone changes roles or leaves, that know-how can leave with them.
With the Business plan, we work with teams to create real deliverables and turn what works into guidance they can use again.

- AI training and team onboarding
Team members work together on product proposals, campaign briefs, and buyer pitches. They practice finding market evidence, working with AI, and reviewing the results. - Unlimited accounts
Everyone who needs Trendier data and AI can use them—not just a few designated users. - Custom workflows and plugins
We help map recurring research, product planning, and marketing tasks to each company’s way of working. - Priority support for new AI capabilities
As MCP, AI agents, and plugins roll out, Business customers will receive priority support in applying them to their work.
If your team is considering where to begin, talk to us. We can look at whether product planning, marketing, or sales is the right starting point and recommend training and workflows that fit your team.
7. Building a system for better decisions
The faster AI gets at producing deliverables, the more important the evidence behind each decision becomes.
The same market shift can mean different things depending on a brand’s customers, price point, and sales channels. We want Trendier to help teams interpret market data in their own business context and identify which opportunities are worth pursuing.
Our aim is to help customers make decisions faster and with greater confidence—and to make that good judgment repeatable across a team.
Co-founder AI has been our vision since we started Trendier. We’re continuing to build toward an AI that understands your business and helps your team make better decisions.
Explore the redesigned Trendier Library to see what is changing in the market, then use Trendier AI to find the evidence behind your next decision.
